Lemon Bay High bands jazz it up

  • The Lemon Bay Jazz Band entertains the crowd at the first annual “Sentimental Journey” on Friday night. The evening of dinner and dancing was hosted by the Englewood Events Center. The Lemon Bay Jazz Band and Lucky 7 Jazz Band entertained the crowd. Proceeds from the event went to benefit the bands of Lemon Bay High School.

There was a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus who distributed presents to the children along with gift cards for the families. This event was made possible with a Community Investment Program grant from the Elks National Foundation enforcing the motto "Elks care -- Elks share." The lodge is at 401 N. Indiana Ave. in Englewood.

The SAL is expanding to Englewood Elementary School after-school programs that help youngsters learn tennis, care for horses and the basics of photography.
